I think Cammomile Euphrates has a pretty good ring to it. But then, this is Australia and perhaps you could consider appropriate Australian alternative river names - what about Cammomile Darling or Cammomile Belubula or Cammomile Nepean?
Cammomile will be a calm & soothing baby. His middle name could be Zeus or Thor, just to provide a bit of balance.

Well I think the old habit of using human names for animals should be reversed, just to be fair. So - hows about a racehorse name like Majestic or ThinkBig or Sultan or Demonic or RajaMighty. They all sound masculine but are often mares!
