Men and cats are funny. They pretend they don't like them, but they do. My cat is 17 and while a certified geriatric with no hearing and a bit of a drool problem, he rules the roost at my parents house. So much so that my father, who used to declare loudly that he'd be glad when the cats had died so he could have his chair back, will look up guiltily when the phone rings claiming, "I can't answer it - I've got the cat on my lap".
Happy times.
