Gardening

Today I planted a small herb garden, as a prelude to a bigger vegie patch I hope to do over winter. Saffy was very interested in it...in fact I'm a little worried she will dig it up!

anonymous is actually mum but that seems to be the only way I can get onto this thing. Winnie sits on my plants which I put in pots to stop the dogs digging them up. The pots are around the base of the washing line, and the 2 dogs sit/stand on them while they help me to put out the washing. Winnie also likes to sunbake there.

Congratulations on starting a garden, Al! Don't do too much too soon until you have worked out how to deal with the weeds.

If you want to get into composting, you might consider the alternative method of waste management, as implemented at HQ after many decades of accumulating rotting vegetable matter. Employ a Possum. They dispose of everything and any plates or containers are left spotless. We use the services of Mr Poss Cleaning and heartily recommend them... him...
