The Year of the....?

Today we drove past a sign that announced that 1982-83 was "The Year of the Tree".

It got us thinking - if you could dedicate a year to something, what would it be?

I came up with "The Year of Not Really Bothering Much" where everyone would be encouraged to relax a bit and take it easy. Possibly I am under the influence of happy pregnancy hormones, but this seems like a very sensible idea to me at the moment!

I have previously thought 2008 could be "The Year of the Babies" because so many seem to be popping out this year (one in particular is of course still pending!!)

Any other suggestions?

Wow! How good to see a new post, Alison! And what a good idea to name years for important things like taking it easy. I like it a lot.I'd like to have a year for not worrying about crap paperwork.

One of my best friend's New Year's Resolution was 'Care Less' and I think it's brilliant. When there's something bothering you you can just shrug and tell yourself 'Care Less' and then because it was your resolution you feel ok about caring less about something and it frees up your day to think about nice things instead!!!
